Help us out.

Dear Everyone,
BETCH (Beautiful, Educated Thunder Cunts from Hell) needs you. What do we need you for? Well, we're a lady's group working on educating and supporting ourselves and other ladies and queer people. We want to create awesome, fun, healthy, positive spaces for all of us. We want to challenge tradition ideas of gender, race, sex and sexuality. One of the ways we're doing this is by having a Yes Means Yes rally/show to promote and celebrate consent, sex positive feminism, equality, safer sex practices and the fight against rape culture, with spoken word performances and lady led bands.

Why do we need you for this? we want to hear your stories of consent, of queerness, of taking control of your sex life, of supporting yourself/your friends or your partners. These can be in poem form, in short stories, in real life stories, in comics, in erotica, in a skit or spoken word piece. We would love for you to perform, but we are also compiling these pieces in a short zine to have at the rally and in the future. Have you already written a zine or pamphlet about consent, safe sex, queerness, gender fucking, radical erotica or something else you feel is related? Share it with us by December 1st to get in the zine!

We're envisioning a world without rape, where we don't have to defend our choice to say "no" or our decision to say "yes", where we don't have to submit to rigid, outdated gender roles, where our bodies are truly ours, where racism and classism don't exist, where our differences are not tolerated, but celebrated, and where we are free to love and fuck who and how we please. We may not live in this world now, but we want to build it together. Let's fight and let's celebrate every chance we get! It's not about hating men, it's about loving ourselves and believing we all deserve more than what patriarchy has given us!

love always,
BETCH
